Gulu University successfully convened the inaugural meeting of the TAGDev 2.0 Program Advisory Committee (PAC) on 18th December 2025 at the University Council Hall, marking the establishment of the first-ever PAC for the TAGDev 2.0 Program at the University.
The Program Advisory Committee is a key governance structure under the Transforming African Agricultural Universities to Meaningfully Contribute to Africa’s Growth and Development (TAGDev 2.0) program. The programme is funded by The Mastercard Foundation, implemented in partnership with RUFORUM, and rolled out across a consortium of leading African universities.
The PAC brings together senior university leadership, chaired by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic Affairs), alongside representatives from key academic and administrative units and TAGDev 2.0 scholars. The Committee’s mandate is to provide strategic oversight, guide program implementation, track progress and results, and ensure strong alignment of TAGDev 2.0 interventions with Gulu University’s institutional development priorities.

During the meeting, members reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the effective implementation of the TAGDev 2.0 program and to strengthening Gulu University’s contribution to Africa’s agricultural transformation, human capital development, and sustainable growth.
Gulu University appreciates the continued leadership of its management, the support of RUFORUM, and the partnership of The Mastercard Foundation in advancing transformative higher education across Africa.
