Gulu University is pleased to announce the Call for Scholarship Applications under the TAGDev 2.0 Programme for the 2026/2027 academic year.
The programme, implemented in partnership with RUFORUM and the Mastercard Foundation, aims to transform African agricultural universities by equipping young people with the skills, knowledge, and competencies needed to drive inclusive, equitable, and climate-resilient agrifood systems.
🎯 About the Scholarship
The TAGDev 2.0 scholarship is a comprehensive, fully funded opportunity targeting academically capable but economically disadvantaged students.
The scholarship supports both undergraduate and postgraduate studies and prepares beneficiaries to become:
- Transformative leaders
- Agribusiness entrepreneurs
- Community change agents
🎓 Eligible Programmes
Undergraduate Programmes
- BSc Food Bioscience and Agribusiness
- BSc Environmental Science and Natural Resources Management
- Bachelor of Information and Communications Technology
- Bachelor of Quantitative Economics
Master’s Programmes
- MSc Agri-Enterprises Development
- MSc Food Security and Community Nutrition
- MSc ICT for Development
👤 Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be nationals of Uganda or East African countries
- Be from economically disadvantaged or marginalized communities
- Meet admission requirements for Gulu University
- Demonstrate interest in agriculture, agribusiness, and entrepreneurship
- Show leadership potential and commitment to community transformation
Special consideration: Female applicants, refugees, internally displaced persons, and persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
